In a rather bizarre incident recently, supermodel Gisele Bundchen was pulled over by a cop for her erratic driving despite being in a distressed situation. She was merely attempting to slip by the paparazzi who were constantly on her tail. While she is used to this attention and the relentlessness of the paps, Bündchen was hoping to drive back with some privacy.

In an attempt to throw them off, she resorted to speeding and this compelled the police to pull her over. However, as Gisele Bundchen explained to him the dilemma she was in the midst of, the officer did not show any remorse or attempt to understand her distress. As the body-cam footage of this incident was made public, the Mayor of Florida called the cop out on his behavior.

Charles Bukett, the Mayor sent a letter to Police Chief Henry Doce in which he criticized his “dismissive” posture and that it was “everything we do not want to see in the way our police interact and serve our residents.” Considering the situation, the Mayor believes that the officer should have been more empathetic.

Gisele Bundchen is frustrated with the constant paparazzi attention

During her encounter with the paparazzi, Bündchen was pleading to the officer.

I'm so tired. Everywhere I go I have these f***ing guys after me. Nothing protects me. I can't do nothing. I just want to live my life.
Gisele Bundchen told the officer

It is unfortunate to see that the paparazzi behavior has continued to get out of hand and celebrities are extremely helpless as they have no remedy.

The officer ended up advising Gisele to file a police report and that he could not do anything more for her. While he was right about that, in that moment, he should have been a bit more understanding. As can be seen in the video reported by TMZ she ends up bursting into tears soon after.

Gisele Bundchen raises a valid point. At what point do the actions of the paparazzi classify as being violative of one’s personal space? Trespassing is illegal but for celebrities to maintain some form of sanity, should they not be allowed to freely partake in regular activities such as going to the gym or making a grocery run? In months succeeding her split from Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen has had the paparazzi constantly follow her and now that she is in a relationship with Joaquim Valente, her jiu-jitsu trainer, the attention on her continues to stay.
