The Dallas Mavericks knocked out the Minnesota Timberwolves after winning Game 5 of the WCF Playoff Finals. Notably, the Mavs star man, Luka Doncic garnered a lot of praise from various analysts and ex-players in the NBA. Interestingly, famous rapper, Lil Wayne also hopped on the Doncic praise bandwagon on the Undisputed Show after Doncic’s Game 5 heroics.

Lil Wayne claimed on The Undisputed Show that he was not disappointed at all after the Timberwolves loss, unlike his peer, Snoop Dogg. Also, Wayne further went on to say that he was impressed by Doncic’s performance against the Timberwolves and labeled it as “The Luka Show.” In addition, Doncic was named the WCF Finals MVP.

On the sports side, Doncic was at his best against the Timberwolves in Game 5. He dropped 36 points, gathered 10 rebounds, and provided 5 assists. Notably, Doncic was supported by his teammate Kyrie Irving in Game 5. Irving too dropped 36 points on the Timberwolves in his side’s Game 5 win at the Target Center.

After losing Game 4, 105-100, the Dallas Mavericks missed their chance to eliminate the Minnesota Timberwolves and go to the NBA Finals. Particularly, Doncic and Co had an off-shooting night against the Wolves. However, Doncic took responsibility for the Game 4 loss and asserted to have better energy to the Mavs’ fans regarding game 5 against the Wolves.

It’s fine, I think that games on me. I just didn’t give enough energy, So, we got to do better. They won one game. We just got to focus on the next one.
After the game, in the post-match press conference, Luka Doncic said

Also, Doncic was praised by many analysts for his maturity in owning up to the game 4 loss.

However, Luka Doncic stuck to his words regarding having more energy in Game 5 and fulfilled it at the Target Center. The Dallas Mavericks and Doncic outclassed the Timberwolves in Game 5 and advanced to the NBA Finals this season. The Mavs are up against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
