11 year old Irish fan invades pitch to ask for the Jersey of Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portugal national were not able to secure a win in the second leg fixture against Ireland in the World Cup qualifiers unlike the first leg which was clutched by the main man of the Portuguese side, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both the teams gave an equal fight to each and came in with some major clinical chances although Cristiano Ronaldo got some clean chances to finish the game in their favour but the Ireland defense was not to be let down as they were on their top game.

After the match ended in a goalless draw an 11 year old Irish fan came onto the pitch running toward Cristiano Ronaldo and asked for his Jersey to which the Portuguese very politely obliged as he hugged the crying girl and gave her the Jersey.

‘I jumped over the barrier because I was in the second row. I jumped over the first row and over the barrier,’ Addison, the 11year old girl told RTE Radio 1.

‘So then I was calling him over. He came over to me. I was just in shock and crying and I was like ‘can I have your jersey? Please, please. I’m a big, huge fan’.’

Generally due to an intrusion into the field the person in question has to pay a penalty to the respective and in this case the Whelan Football Association. But according to reports the Association has definitely not charged the regular £2500 for intrusion from the little girl.

Portugal is currently at the top of the table in Group A after their goalless draw against Ireland and they have only one match left in hand against the second team in the group and the result of the match will give out the team which will be qualifying for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
