Kenya takes on Uganda on Thursday 2nd September for their first 2022 World Cup Qualifier.
Both sides will look to put their disappointing AFCON qualifying campaign behind them and focus on the upcoming games, as both teams were unsuccessful in qualifying for the upcoming AFCON tournament.

Kenya finished third in the Group G in the AFCON qualifying table.
Kenya only managed to register seven points from their six group games.
Uganda were no better than their opponents in the AFCON qualifying campaign who also finished third in Group B managing only eight points from their six games.
They were flying after claiming seven points from their first three games but only managing to register a single point from their next three games.
Both sides will surely try to start their qualifying campaign for next year’s World Cup in Qatar on the right track with a win in the opening game on Thursday.
Kenya and Uganda are yet to feature in a World Cup and now is the best time to do so and break the duck. Uganda is on a six game winless streak, losing their recent game 3-2 to South Africa back in June.

Kenya will be hosting Uganda for the opening game of the World Cup Qualifying campaign at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.

The last three meetings between the two sides have ended in a draw.
We predict a draw with neither side having the edge on the other to win the game. Both teams are coming of an unsuccessful AFCON Qualifying campaign.
