South Korea were denied a third straight victory in their last game as they played out a 1-1 draw against Iran. Tottenham star Heung Min Son opened the scoring early in the second half to break the deadlock. However former Brighton forward Jahanbakhsh equalised on the 76th minute mark and despite a open contest the game ended all square with both nations sharing a point.

United Arab Emirates rescued a point against Iraq in their last qualifier. Al Ain forward Caio opened the scoring for UAE in the 33rd minute as the hosts went into halftime with a slim 1-0 lead. However with just 16 minutes left to play Iraq forced an own goal through Mohammed Al Attas with game all square. Aymen Hussain who came on as a substitute in the second half scored in the 89th minute to lead the game with minutes left to play. However Iraq failed to defend their lead as UAE’s Ali Mabkhout scored the equaliser which was pretty much the last kick of the game.

South Korea will host UAE at the Goyang Stadium in Goyang, South Korea. It was built in 2003 and has been the home ground of K League Challenge side Goyang Zaicro FC from 2013 to 2016. It has a total capacity of 43,311 seats.
