The Rossoneri have made it absolutely clear that they stand for peace, and will be helping the war survivors from Ukraine with the money collected from the sale of this special edition jersey.
The jersey is inspired by the 2002-03 Champions League final kit Andriy Shevchenko wore in Manchester against Juventus. AC Milan won the game by a 3-2 margin on penalties after the match ended 0-0 after extra time.
The jersey has been made with the colours of Ukraine’s flag, which incorporated blue and yellow on either side on the top half of the sleeves. Priced moderately at about £41, fans can collect their editions now from the official AC Milan website, and the money collected would be used for the greater good.
Andriy Shevchenko is an AC Milan legend and won 5 trophies during his time with the Italian club from 1999 to 2006. He became the third Ukrainian player to ever win the biggest individual award in the world of football, the Balon d’Or which he won in 2004 for his exceptional performance for AC Milan.
