France and Paris St-Germain footballer Aminata Diallo arrested for attack on teammate Kheira Hamraoui

In what comes as shocking news, France and Paris Saint Germain women’s footballer Aminata Diallo has been arrested for allegedly attacking her fellow French national teammate Kheira Hamraoui. Diallo reportedly attacked Kheira to eliminate her competition from the team starting lineup.
Diallo, who is a midfielder by trade was taken into custody by Versailles police on Wednesday morning for the aggressive assault and now faces a difficult trail ahead of her, almost putting her footballing career in jeopardy.

Leading French news outlet, L’Equipe reported that Diallo had hired two men to cause harm to her teammate. The plan was executed on the 4th of November when two masked men attacked the duo, who were returning from a dinner organised by the club.
The masked men worked according to the plan, striking Kheira Hamraoui’s legs with an iron bar and immediately fled the scene. Police have found out that apart from Diallo and Hamraoui, there was a third teammate in the car at the time of the assault but confirmed that she had no role in this vicious crime.
PSG released a statement condemning the violence “in the strongest terms”.
Paris Saint Germain’s strong statement read, “Since Thursday evening, the club has taken all necessary measures to guarantee the health, well-being and safety of its entire women’s team.”
“Paris St-Germain is working with the Versailles police to shed light on the facts. The club is paying close attention to the progress of the proceedings and will study what action to take.”
