Arsenal set to earn a financial boost on Donyell Malen’s move to Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal are expected to gain some revenue when former academy winger Donyell Malen completes his impending move to Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund are on the verge of signing a replacement for Jadon Sancho after reaching a deal with PSV Eindhoven to sign Malen.

When Malen finalizes his transfer, the Gunners will receive a financial benefit. Fabrizio Romano claimed that Borussia Dortmund and PSV were nearing an agreement to buy Donyell Malen. It’s even gotten to the point where they’re scheduling a medical checkup for the following several days.

Dortmund will pay Arsenal 1% of the transfer fee if the transaction goes through. Arsenal will receive £250,000 if the cost is fixed at around £25 million.

Malen spent a couple of seasons at Arsenal’s academy before departing as a teen, which helped him prepare for a future in competitive football.

Despite 27 goals or assists in 58 games at the youth level, his playing time was minimal. The winger made an impression during the preseason in July 2017, however, he left the following month, with PSV paying a price of around £250,000 to sign him.

Ajax will also receive a fee of 1.5% for Donyell Malen

As a youth, Donyell spent eight years at the Amsterdam club Ajax before joining Arsenal’s academy in 2015. Ajax is expected to earn 1.5 percent of Malen’s move from PSV to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.

Agent Mino Raiola, on the other hand, stands to make a lot more money. Although Raiola does not charge large commission rates, his usual fee is 9.99 percent.

Malen is arriving off a strong season with PSV, where he netted 27 goals and added 10 assists in 45 appearances for the Dutch giants across all competitions. The 22-year-old is predominantly a striker in the center of the field, although he can also play on the flank.

He is expected to be a great asset for Borussia Dortmund and will form a great pair with the likes of Erling Haaland and Marco Reus.
