Premeir League: Arsenal vs Brentford Player Ratings as register a nervy 2-1 victory at Emirates Stadium

At the end of an end-to-end game at Emirates Stadium, here are our Arsenal vs Brentford Player Ratings.

Both teams started the game on a great tone but Brentford failed to attack. Arsenal kept Brentford pinned in their own half with consequent attacks. Despite a few close calls, Arsenal failed to take the lead at half time.

In the second half, Arsenal started with all guns blazing and got the result in the 48th minute of the game. Emile Smith Rowe scored the first goal whereas Saka sealed the win with the second goal in 79th minute. Arsenal were not able to maintain the cleansheet at the end of the game as Norgaard scored the compensatory goal in the final minutes of the game.

Aaron Ramsdale (6.1/10): The shot stopper was involved in the build up but he had very few shots to save throughout the game. 

Cedric Soares (7/10): Cedric Soares had a great game as a right back against Brentford. Not only he helped his side offensively but also pitched in for the defense. 

Ben White (7.1/10): The English central defender is living upto the hype with his rock solid presence in the defense. 

Gabriel Maghalhaes (6.5/10): Amongst the Arsenal defenders, Maghalaes had a poor game. He had less to do but looked shaky while defending. 

Kieran Tierney (7/10): One of the best acquisitions of Arsenal in recent times, Tierney was again one of the best players for Arsenal. He participated both in attack and defense. 

Granit Xhaka (7/10): The Swiss central midfielder was a key player in the double pivot fielded by Arteta. He had a dribble and tackle to his name

Thomas Partey (7.8/10): Thomas Partey was able to keep the opposition at bay by doing all the dirty work in the middle of the park. He did it all. He was even able to register an assist for the second goal.

Bukayo Saka (7.6/10): Saka was able to contribute both in attack and defense whenever the situation arises.He had a pass rate of 86% throughout the game. He doubled the lead for his side to take a 2-0 lead in the 80th minute. 

Martin Odegaard (6.9/10): Though Odegaard failed to score the goal in the game or assist the player, he created the chances that caused trouble for Brentford. 

Alexandre Lacazette (7/10): Though Alexandre Lacazette’s goal in the first half was chalked off, he assisted for the side in the second half. 

Emile Smith Rowe (7.8/10): The academy graduate scored the opener for Arsenal on Saturday. He created several chances for his side apart from scoring the goal.

David Raya (6/10): The shot-stopper gave everything on the pitch for his side on Saturday. However, the defense failed to keep the attackers at bay. 

Ethan Pinnock (6.5/10): Though the player held the opposition, Pinnock was unable to stop the counter attacks through which Arsenal doubled the lead. 

Pontus Jonsson (6.4/10): Pontus Jonsson did not have a great game against Arsenal as he was one of the players to be blamed for the second goal. 

Kristoffer Ajer (7/10): Though Brentford conceded two goals, Kristoffer Ajer marshaled his defense and kept the opposition away from scoring more goals. 

Rico Henry (6/10): Barring a tackle and an aerial header to his name, Rico Henry did not have a great game either on Saturday. 

Mathias Jensen (6/10): The midfielder was subbed just before the half time due to niggle he faced on the pitch. The player failed to leave any big impression on the pitch. 

Christian Norgaard (7.7/10): Amongst the midfielders, Christian Norgaard had a good game for Brentford. He registered two tackles and was dispossessed twice. He scored the goal in the dying embers of the game but it was too late to take home a point.

Josh da Silva (6.5/10): Josh da Silva had a tackle, dribble and an aerial duel win to his name but was unable to create the chance that could help his side to score the goal. 

Sergi Canos (6.7/10): The industrious midfielder kept the waves of attack at bay with his four tackles and aerial duel victories. 

Bryan Mbuemo (6/10): The striker had an unnerving game against Arsenal. He had one of the best chances to equalize but the player squandered the chance. 

Yoane Wissa (6.7/10): Wissa was able to create the pressure and keep the opposition defenders busy. He had two tackles and a dribble to his name.

Vitaly Janelt (6/10): Apart from creating a goal scoring chance, Vitaly Janelt had a poor game against Arsenal. 

Shandon Baptiste (6/10): Shandon Baptiste was subbed on in the second half to change the dynamics of the game. But the sub could not help his side avoid the defeat.
