Here is a list of all the FIFA World Cup awards :
Golden Ball
The FIFA World Cup Finals’ Golden Ball Award is awarded to the best player. The FIFA technical committee compiles a list of the top players in the finals and representatives of the media vote to determine who gets the Golden Ball. While no player has received the Golden Ball more than once, Brazil has the most Golden Ball receivers in FIFA World Cup heritage, with seven. At the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Croatia’s Luka Modric received the Golden Ball.
Golden Boot
The Golden Boot Award goes to the player who scores the most goals during the FIFA World Cup. If two players finish the tournament with the exact amount of goals, the Golden Boot is awarded to the player who featured for the last minutes. In other words, the player who scored the most goals per minute of play.
Brazil has by far the most Golden Boot receivers among all countries. Brazil has 5 distinct Golden Boot winners, while Germany is second with three overall award winners. Just Fontaine of France leads all players who have won the Golden Boot with 13 goals in a single World Cup tournament. Hungary’s Sándor Kocsis scored 11 goals in the 1954 competition, and Gerd Müller scored 10 in the 1970 FIFA World Cup, closely behind him.
Golden Glove
The best keeper in the FIFA World Cup Tournament receives the Golden Glove Award. The FIFA Technical Study Group chooses the winner of this award. Ever since World Cup’s commencement in 1930, the finest goalkeeper has been picked, but it wasn’t until 2010 that the prize came to be called the “Golden Glove.” From 1994 to 2006, it was recognized as the Lev Yashin Award.
Goalkeepers also have a chance to win the Golden Ball Award if they perform exceptionally well in the finals game. In the 2002 competition, Oliver Kahn of Germany won both the Golden Glove and Golden Ball honors.
FIFA Young Player
The tournament’s star performer under the age of 21 earns the Best Young Player Award. Since its initial introduction in 2006, this prize has been displayed at each World Cup competition. The FIFA Technical Study Group selects the Best Young Player Award winner similarly to how the Golden Glove is given out. Lukas Podolski of Germany was the first receiver of this honor in the 2006 competition.
Podolski participated in seven games and put three goals in the net. Pele of Brazil was only 17 years old when he netted six goals in just four matches, although the prize wasn’t really like that at the time. The Best Young Player Award would have gone to Pele, who would’ve been the youngest player ever.
FIFA Fair Play Award
The team that exhibits the greatest standard of fair play or sportsmanship through competition is offered the FIFA Fair Play Trophy. To be eligible for the trophy, teams must advance to the second round of competition. The chosen team receives a special diploma and the FIFA Fair Play Trophy. Additionally, each member of the team receives a medal and $50,000 worth of equipment to support the development of youth football.
Peru received the FIFA Fair Play Trophy when it was first presented in 1970. Since then, Brazil, Spain, and England have won the trophy numerous times. The trophy may also be given to multiple teams. In 1998, France and England shared the honor, while Brazil and Spain both received it in 2006.
Man of the Match
The Man of the Match award has been given to the best player in each game of the tournament since 2002. While the technical group chose the first two editions, the Man of the Match has been selected by an online poll on FIFA’s website since 2010.
Most Entertaining Team
The Most Entertaining Team award is an intuitively acclaimed prize for the group that has done the most to impress the public with a positive approach to the game. It was established in 1994 through public involvement in a poll.
