Meanwhile their opponents, Mainz were back to winning ways with a 3-0 against Greuther Furth at home, with Anderson Lucoqui, Adam Szalai scoring two goals in three minutes and Kevin Stoger scoring a third in the second half stoppage time to cap off an impressive win. This was the perfect reply from them after a disappointing 2-0 loss to newly promoted side Bochum in their second league game.

Bo Svensson has transformed them from the team battling relegation to one of the title contenders this season. It will be an interesting matchup when these two meet at the weekend.
