Hertha Berlin’s disappointing start to the season continues as they were trashed 5-0 by Bayern Munich in their last game, with Robert Lewandowski getting his first hattrick of the season. The loss against Bayern Munich was their third loss in as many matches after losing the first two matches against FC Koln and league leaders Wolfsburg. In the game against Wolfsburg it was Lucas Nmecha who scored the winner in the 88th minute and broke Hertha Berlin hearts. Pal Dardai’s men will look to bounce back from the losses with a win against newly promoted Bochum side this weekend.

Their opponents, VfL Bochum have one win and two losses from the first three games of the season. They were also narrowly beaten by Wolfsburg 1-0 on the opening day but did register their first win of the season against Mainz with 2-0 home victory. However they were unable to build on that win and lost 2-1 to FC Koln in their recent game before the international break. Goals from Louis Schaub and Tim Lemperle were enough to get all three points for Koln on the night.
