Deep in stoppage time Lacroix was shown a red card after bringing down Lucas Alario. Casteels saved the resulting penalty to keep the scoreline at 2-0 and also confirming the three points.

Augsburg were 4-1 winners against Stuttgart at home in their last game. The visitors opened the scoring after Chris Fuhrich scored in the 7th minute. Reece Oxford levelled the game at the half hour mark, before Jeffrey Gouweleeuw completed the turn around early in the second half. Substitute Florian Niederlechner and Finnbogason each scored in the last 15 minutes to secure all three points and record their first win in last five games.
