Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother in tears as he scores first Manchester United goal in 12 years

After 12 long years, Cristiano Ronaldo took the field at Old Trafford as a Red Devil. The legendary baller returned to his boyhood club having conquered Europe. Ronaldo made his second debut for Manchester United on Saturday against New Castle and he did so in style.
On his second debut at Old Trafford, Ronaldo thumped two goals to make a statement. The first of it was a simple tap in as the ball made its way to the Portuguese skipper’s path after being deflected by the New Castel shot stopper. As Ronaldo made his iconic celebration after tapping in the opening goal, his mother could be seen in tears in the stand.
His mother Dolores Aveiro took a private jet to be in attendance for his son’s second Manchester United debut and Ronaldo didn’t disappoint. Dolores could contain her tears of happiness as her prodigal son gave the hosts the lead.

The first goal in back in Red was a special one for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese could be seen acknowledging the crowd’s applause after his iconic celebration. It was his goal that broke the deadlock at the stroke of halftime to give the hosts the lead who looked rusty up until that point.
Later, in the second half, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who regained Manchester United‘s lead with a stunning finish. The move which was started off by a scintillating run from Luke Shaw was finished off by a classic Ronaldo slot in. It seems like a hattrick is imminent now as the star baller enjoys his homecoming.
