Manchester United will be in action later today for their sixth Premier League match of the season against Aston Villa. The Red Devils have made an impressive start to the season and are currently third in the table level on points with both Liverpool and Chelsea who top the table.

This impressive start to the season has been largely due to their investments in the transfer market in which they brought back Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus. The striker has set the stage ablaze on his return to the Premier League and United have won their previous two matches courtesy of his goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 4 goals in his first 3 matches for Manchester United

Now the 36-year old striker stands on the verge of breaking yet another record to add his illustrious career. When Ronaldo takes the pitch against Aston Villa, he will have a chance to become the first Man United signing to score for four consecutive matches. The previous player to do this for the Red Devils was James Hanson way back in 1924, meaning the record is currently standing for over 90 years.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice on his return to the Premier League against Newcastle to deliver all three points for his side, making a dream start to his second chapter at the club. He also scored on his second start against Young Boys, in the Champions League.

Ronaldo then opened the scoring in United’s dramatic win over West Ham last week to make it 4 goals in his first 3 games at the club on his return to Manchester.
