After a year of inactivity, the 130th edition of the historic Durand Cup is ready to make a comeback. The second match of the tournament will see Jamshedpur FC take on Sudeva Delhi FC on 6th September 2021 at the Mohun Bagan Club Ground.

Jamshedpur FC is one of the five ISL teams (FC Goa, Kerala FC, Bengaluru FC, Hyderabad FC, Jamshedpur FC) that will be participating in the Durand Cup. Jamshedpur FC are using their U18 squad for the tournament along with five senior team players (Niraj, Vishal, Jitendra, Sandip Mandi, and Bhupender). The team will be led by Noel Wilson, who has been assigned the role of Head Coach for the tournament.
This year, Jamshedpur FC signed Australian forward Jordan Murray on a one-year contract. Murray scored seven goals in 19 games for Kerala Blasters last season. With Murray being the fifth foreign player of the season, the other players who were signed by the club are Brazilian centre-back Eli Sabia, English defender Peter Hartley, Brazilian midfielder Alex Lima, and Lithuanian forward Nerijus Valskis.
Founded in 2014 as Sudeva Moonlight FC, the club joined the I-League in the 2020-21 season, becoming the capital’s first club to do so. Sudeva FC will be one of the three I-League sides to participate in the tournament along with Mohammedan Sporting and Gokulam Kerala. The club is affiliated with the Spanish club, CD Olímpic de Xàtiva, and is full of young and talented players who, with their speed and creativity on the pitch, could give everyone a run for their money. The team recently called their forward Shubho Paul to play for the senior team after his stunning performances for the youth team.
