Dylan Fox signs for FC Goa ahead of the new season

FC Goa confirm through their official website that they have signed Dylan Fox from Northeast United FC for the upcoming ISL season.

The 27-year-old Irish-born Australian has penned a one-year contract with FC Goa as he prepares for another year in India. According to the Times of India, personal terms between the club and the player were agreed beforehand, but the transfer was stalled due to a clause in his contract. FC Goa then paid the stipulated fee to lock his services.

Dylan Fox, speaking to the official website, stated that FC Goa were in touch with him ever since the previous season wrapped up. Fox further said, “Last season, I grew to appreciate the kind of football they play and I really wanted to be part of the team. And that was a feeling that was reciprocated. I can’t wait to get started.”

FC Goa’s Director of Football Ravi Puskur, was also amazed and excited to welcome Fox. He said, “We’re pleased to bring Dylan on board. He was a very instrumental player in North East United’s campaign last year and we will he fit be a good fit in our system as well. His knowledge, experience of the league is an added benefit and we expect him to settle into the team in no time.”

Dylan’s pivotal role for NEUFC

Dylan Fox played a key role in Khalid Jamil’s NorthEast United set up last season, where he made 21 appearances out of 22 matches they played. He helped the Highlanders secure the 3rd place and qualify for the playoffs only second time in their history, before bowing out against ATK Mohun Bagan.

The signing means that FC Goa have now completed their quota of foreign players as they add Fox to an already eye-catching list consisting Edu Bedia, Airam Cabrera, Ivan Gonzalez, Jorge Ortiz and Alberto Noguera.
