Arsene Wenger claims Erling Haaland’s Premier League move is inevitable
Erling Haaland has become the hottest talent and the most-wanted player for the big clubs in Europe, but Premier League legend Arsene Wenger is convinced that Haaland will choose the path towards England’s top flight. Wenger understands that Haaland will fail to resist the lure of playing for one of the big teams in England.
The Dortmund star was heavily linked to Chelsea in the recent window and is still scouted by top European clubs including Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United. It is believed that the 21-year-old will be on the move next summer, but the question remains who would cash in for the superstar.
What was said about Erling Haaland?
Talking to Bild Live, Arsene Wenger said that he is sure the Leeds-born Norwegian striker would like a return to his country of birth soon. He said, “I think that will happen. The economic power of the Premier League is too strong.” Wenger further added, “English football is dominant because it is where the most money is. The best players always go the best way to make the most money.”
Wenger believes that Erling Haaland’s game will grow with time and will eventually stand alongside PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe as the next big things. Calling Haaland a “super talent”, Wenger said, “Haaland is likely to be the next high-profile goal scorer after Mbappe.”
Haaland is currently one of the best
Wenger could not stop the praise for the UCL Attacker of the Season winner and further stated that, “His ambition, his will to score goals and the ability to fight in a duel [set him apart]. He’s there and wants to win, there is something in him that is great for a striker.”
Haaland is currently one of the best goal scorers in the game, and has scored 43 goals in just 46 appearances for Dortmund and also has bagged 8 goals for Norway. A move away from the Signal Iduna Park is believed to be on the cards next summer as many top clubs are circling around the €75m release clause in his contract.
