Often known as a retirement home for the top 5 European League players, Major Soccer League (MLS) is the premier football league in the United States of America. Though in recent times the United States of America have produced best talents, MLS is less followed by the Europeans. In this article, we shall look at the famous Premier League footballers who played in MLS.
Major Soccer League (MLS) has 28 teams out of which 25 are from the United States of America and three are from Canada. The league falls under the ambit of CONCACAF and has a different format of the league. The teams are divided into Eastern and Western conferences and the top teams play in the playoffs to decide the winner. Also, MLS does not follow the European football season format.

David Beckham (LA Galaxy)
One of the most attractive and talented footballers across the globe, David Beckham featured for LA Galaxy in the Major Soccer League. Known for his modelling career and his fallout with Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham played in MLS after his stint with Real Madrid.
During his time at LA Galaxy, the player scored 98 goals and won two consecutive titles. Now, he is the owner of Inter Miami and will look to achieve more in MLS.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic (LA Galaxy)
If there is one player who has played all across Europe and the US, that is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede featured in MLS after his stint at Manchester United. Though he has returned to Italy, Zlatan had an amazing time in the US. He had 52 goals from 56 games to his name in the league.
Considering other players’ performances, Zlatan was the best player and the most talented to feature ever in Major Soccer League.
Thierry Henry (New York Red Bulls)
There are very few players who own the league that they feature in. Thierry Henry is one of those. From being the part of Arsen Wenger’s Invincibles of 2003-04 to being the part of a scary Barcelona side, Thierry Henry has won it all.
The all-time leading goalscorer for Arsenal, Thierry Henry played for New York Red Bulls from 2010-2014. He had 51 goals to his name in the five seasons that he played in MLS.

Yes, that video is a clip from the Major Soccer League. After his tenure at Manchester United and Everton, Rooney featured for DC United in MLS.
During his time in the United States of America, Wayne Rooney scored 23 goals from 48 games.
Frank Lampard (New York City FC)
During the fag end of his career, Frank Lampard featured for Manchester City. Before calling shots to his playing career, he featured for New York City FC which was the part of City Football Group. The prolific goal scoring midfielder for Chelsea made MLS his own playing ground with his fine performances.
In two seasons (2015, 2016), Lampard had 15 goals and three assists to his name. Frank Lamprad helped NYCFC to garner a lot of attention and create a fanbase in a less predominant football following nation.
