FC Barcelona, Juventus make official bid for Arsenal player
As the January transfer window nears the end, the market has definitely heated up with clubs trying to make last resort efforts on securing their target signings. As per the recent report by The Athletic, Arsenal have received official approaches from European giants Barcelona and Juventus to sign striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan until the end of the season.
Arsenal are open to allowing Aubameyang to leave this winter however the deal would have to be financially acceptable to the club. Aubameyang’s wages are thought to be around £350,000 a week which is nowhere near what FC Barcelona would like to pay considering the current financial situation of the club.
Further, FC Barcelona’s move for Aubameyang depends on Ousmane Dembele‘s exit from the club as his departure will free up wages for the new player. The Catalan club has also signed Wolves winger Adama Traore on loan till the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Italian giants Juventus FC have signed the much sought-after Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic. It remains to be seen if the move alters the club’s pursuit of the Arsenal striker.

Arsenal’s disciplinary action on Aubameyang
Aubameyang’s future has clearly been in doubt since he was stripped off of the Arsenal captaincy and made to train alone for what a club statement described as “his latest disciplinary breach”. Further, the 32-year old has been left out of the squad ahead of their warm-weather training camp in Dubai.
During his time at Arsenal, the Gabonese forward scored seven goals in 15 games across all competitions this season, and 92 in 163 overall appearances since moving from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.
