Real Madrid look all set to join the race alongside Manchester United to sign Mauricio Pochettino who is expected to leave Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season. With Manchester United looking for potential replacement for interim boss Ralf Rangnick the Red Devils are in for a battle from Los Blancos as pressure tolls on Carlo Ancelotti having just come in this season.
Real Madrid along with Spurs tried to acquire the services of the Argentine in the summer but PSG were unwilling to let Pochettino leave but the situation now has changed with Zidane potentially coming in at the French capital, PSG are ready to let Pochettino leave. Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino are the front runners for the job at Old Trafford next season with the latter favoured by the current United players. It will be complicated for United as Real Madrid are in the hunt for a new manager as there concerns over Ancelotti’s future at the Santiago Bernabeau.
The Real players were jeered by they own supporters for their performance against PSG in the Champions League during a 3-1 win over Alaves on Saturday amid reports Ancelotti could leave the Spanish capital at the end of the season. Real are well placed in La Liga sitting top with 57 points, six points clear of second place Sevilla. However the club’s season will be defined by how deep they can go in the Champions League and that will be key in Florentino Perez getting Mauricio Pochettino.

Kylian Mbappe will prove to be a huge factor for Real Madrid to sign Mauricio Pochettino next summer. The 23 year-old and Pochettino have said to built a close relationship at the PSG. With Mbappe a priority for Real Madrid next season and his signing will be crucial to lure the 49-year old Argentine international to Santiago Bernabeau. Manchester United are going to face some serious competition from Real Madrid in the summer for the signing of Mauricio Pochettino.
