France have released their final 23-man squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League finals, as Didier Deschamps decided to leave their star striker Olivier Giroud out of the squad for the second consecutive time following his omission last month for their FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Another familiar name missing from the roster for the World Cup Winners is of their midfield machine- N’Golo Kante who is out, after contracting the Covid-19 virus last week. However, Didier Deschamps handed a spot to the former Arsenal midfielder, Matteo Guendouzi who has performed exceedingly well for Marseille this season.

The usual faces of Pogba and Rabiot will be holding the key for the World Champions in midfield after Deschamps decided to go with the inexperienced trio of Verteout, Tchouameni, and Theo Hernandez for the Nations League finals.
Manchester United’s castaway striker Anthony martial retained his spot in the French squad despite not featuring regularly for the Premier League giants and will look to make an impact at the national level to earn his place back at the club level.
The Les Bleus will be up against Belgium in the semi-final encounter of the Nations League on the 7th of October. A victory will give them a chance to face Spain and Italy in the finals of the competition and win the second edition after Portugal emerged winners the last time around in 2020.
