Despite giving a new contract and extension to Edinson Cavani, Manchester United are still in the transfer market to sign a striker. With Harry Kane voicing his opinion to leave Tottenham Hotspur after series of failures of the North London club, multiple Premier League outfits including Manchester United have renewed their interest in signing the star striker.
In the recent press conference, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t rule out the signing of a new striker in the transfer window. The manager said:
Yeah, Edi signed but how many good strikers have we had at this club? "I can't say we're not signing a striker, of course not. Because we're building towards a better squad, we're top three two years on the bounce but not where we want to be
According to recent reports, Manchester United are one of the clubs who are leading the race to land the striker despite heavy interest from Manchester City. The reports also states that the Norweigan manager is set to use these two players to lure Harry Kane to Old Trafford.

According to recent reports published in The Sun, Manchester United are set to use Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford to lure the striker to Old Trafford. The report also states that Anthony Martial can be used in a player+ swap deal for the English international. The report read:
Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford will use their friendship with Tottenham's £150million-rated striker, 27, to make him choose United over rivals Manchester City and Chelsea. Harry Kane’s transfer is set to be one of the most enticing and interesting transfers in the summer transfer window. With all the clubs looking for proper No 9, the English international is on the radar. Few reports also suggests that Manchester City’s bid to sign Harry Kane in January was put aside by Daniel Levy.
