The Premier League is by far the most viewed sports league on the planet, with 643 million families and a prospective TV audience of 4.7 billion viewers consuming it in 212 countries. The aggregate Premier League match audience for recent seasons is around 40,000, second only to the Bundesliga in Germany. Meanwhile, cumulative turnout throughout all games was 14,508,981, the most in any competition.
Considering all this, it is quite obvious that the league would also have world-class players who have very impressive wages for the brilliance they show on the pitch. Footballing giants like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City are some of the clubs that are able to pay such huge amounts to these players.
The Highest paid players in Premier League are as follows:
#5. Bruno Fernandes
Weekly Wage – £300,000 ($378,000)
Bruno Fernandes has single-handedly kept Manchester United afloat this season despite relegation scares. The high-flying midfielder signed a major contract extension after previously playing on a relatively cheaper contract. It was a gift for his hard-work over the years.

It doesn’t look like the Portuguese midfielder will leave United anytime soon, and new manager Ruben Amorim really likes the star player. With various free agency and transfer move likely coming up in the summer transfer window, the chances of Fernandes climbing the ranking of the highest-paid English Premier League remains increasingly likely.
#4. Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford
Weekly Wage – £325,000 ($419,869)
Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford are tied for the fourth spot. The prolific wingers are one of England’s most familiar faces and a definite threat in any lineups. However, recent times have not been kind to Sterling or Rashford.

Sterling was shipped off to Chelsea by Manchester City, but it hasn’t remained a good move by any means. New manager Enzo Maresca refused to accommodate Sterling into his plans, and sent him on loan to Arsenal. Even with the Gunners, his misfortunes haven’t changed. Nevertheless, he has been earning a massive weekly wages that puts him in the top 5 paid players.
Meanwhile, Rashford struggled with Manchester United in the 2024/25 season. Despite receiving a lucrative contract, he has not lived up to the expectations. Once Ruben Amorim came after the club sacked Erik ten Haag, Rashford was deemed surplus to requirements. Since then, he joined Aston Villa on loan, and has had a better fortunes than Sterling.
#3. Casemiro and Mohamed Salah
Weekly Wage – £350,000 ($452,219)
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah finds himself on the list, but for how long? After all, the club have not initiated new contract talks with the Egyptian superstar. Salah has had a sensational stint as a Liverpool player, and won the EPL and the UEFA Champions League for the club.

In the 2024/25 season, Salah has performed admirably well under new manager Arne Slot. It looks like Egyptian forward could have another EPL title by the time he leaves the decorated English club. Meanwhile, the story of Casemiro has not remained the same as Salah.
The Brazilian midfielder was outstanding in his first season for Manchester United. Since then, it appears as if the multiple time UCL winner has fallen out of his prime. Casemiro has struggled with the pace of the EPL this season as well. It remains to be seen how long both players will remain in the EPL after the current season.
#2. Kevin de Bruyne
Weekly Wage – £400,000 ($517,072)
The success that Manchester City have experienced in the last decade resulted from Kevin de Bruyne controlling the midfield over the years. Once upon a time, he was an EPL flop with Chelsea. Now, he is among the league’s greatest midfielders and highest paid players. It is quite a turnaround for the Belgian international.

So far, the star midfielder has not signed an extension to his already expiring contract, leaving some to think that he will leave soon. Nevertheless, for the time being, he will remain with the Cityzens, hoping to pull them out of their disastrous season so far.
#1. Erling Haaland
Weekly Wage – £500,000 ($646,085)
Erling Haaland has had a very bright start to his career in the EPL. So far, he has continued his goal-scoring form even despite City facing their worst season in years. Recently, he signed a 10-year contract to remain with the blue side of Manchester.

The enormous wages are well earned for the Norway international. With further success, he can elevate the value of his contract further. As such, for the forseeable future, it doesn’t look likely that anyone surpasses Haaland as the highest paid English Premier League player.
