“I don’t care how you’ve played”- Top pundit slams Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes for their post game behaviour

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle United at St James Park on Monday night, what was their first game in over two weeks due to the postponement by the COVID-19 outbreak at Manchester United and other Premier League teams. However the display by Ralf Rangnick’s team was poor in terms of having a two week rest and playing a 19th place Newcastle side.
Newcastle United were by far the better team right from the first whistle but could only take away a point from the game. Allan Saint-Maximin was a thorn for the Manchester United back line and the winger opened the scoring inside 10 mins after possession changed hands in midfield with Longstaff playing in Saint-Maximin through on goal. However it took United until the 71st minute mark when Edinson Cavani equalised. It was another match where David De Gea saved the day for Manchester United pulling off some incredible saves, especially in the second half.
However the Manchester United star player and talisman Cristiano Ronaldo walked off the pitch after the final whistle without applauding the traveling fans who made the trip all the way to St James Park to support their team. Former Manchester United player Gary Neville slammed Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and other players for their behaviour saying irrespective of how the game has been you always have to appreciate the support of the fans.
‘You’ve got to be there when your team-mates need you in those moments’- Gary Neville slams Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portuguese walked off the pitch after their 1-1 draw against Newcastle United.

Gary Neville had some harsh words for his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo as the forward walked off the pitch without applauding the support of the fans.
‘At the end of the day, I love that lad, he’s the best I’ve ever seen in my life at times, but don’t run off like that. I’m not having that. I don’t care how you’ve played, You need to go over and clap the fans at the end of the game. Get over to them, particularly when you’re the best player in the world, and one of the greatest of all time.’
Manchester United are up against Burnley at Old Trafford on Thursday, the fans and definitely Gary Neville will want a reaction and nothing less than a win after their below par performance against Monday night.
