‘I haven’t decided on my future’- Paris Saint Germain striker Kylian Mbappe says he has not made a decision on his future

Paris Saint Germain young superstar Kylian Mbappe once again stole the headlines as he scored a late injury time winner against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie. However the French international is still undecided on his future with just four months left on his contract at PSG and is heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
It was no surprise that the whole build up to the game was around Kylian Mbappe as the forward once again shined on an important Champions League night for his side. As many said that this game was an audition for Kylian Mbappe is the 23-year old is to make a move to Santiago Bernabeau in the summer, and it is fair to say that he passed with flying colors. Kylian Mbappe looked the most likely PSG player to score and was brought down by Dani Carvajal at the hour mark.
However Lionel Messi’s spot kick was saved by Thibaut Courtois. However it Mbappe who ran between two defenders in the 94th minute before slotting home to give PSG a 1-0 win. It was Mbappe’s second injury time winner in four days after scoring the winner in the 93rd minute against Rennes on Friday night. “I play for one of the best teams in the world, I’m going to give it my all for the remainder of the season. I haven’t decided on my future.” Mbappe told Movistar TV.
Despite being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid Mbappe has not yet decided his future and wants to focus on helping PSG for the remainder of the season. French football journalist Julien Laurens believes that Mbappe will leave it till the summer to make a decision on his future.

“I believe he will wait until the end of this season. PSG are really hoping that if they win this tie and qualify, they can say they we are a better team than Real Madrid. They have also said ‘if you stay we are trying to sign Paul Pogba, trying to sign players to make this team better, so why not stay one more year?” Laurens said on BT Sport.
Can Kylian Mbappe fire PSG to Champions League glory ?

A 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of the round of 16 tie thanks to an injury time winner from Kylian Mbappe have given the Parisien club a slight upper hand for the second leg scheduled to played on 9th March. However with the away goals no longer applying the Los Blancos will believe they’ve all the firepower and the experience to turn this tie around. On the other hand with the likes of Kylian Mbappe firing on all cylinders, Neymar returning from a long term injury and Messi bringing his experience this feels the year for PSG to finally lift the UEFA Champions League trophy.
“[With PSG] having Messi and Neymar supplying Mbappe there’s no reason why he can’t get another five or six goals in the knockout stages and PSG win it, It is possible. They are not my favourites, but it is possible.” Former Chelsea player Joe Cole said on BT Sport.
