Harry Kane looks to leave Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane has come out and has added fuel to his impending transfer rumours this summer. A summer move is expected for the Tottenham Hotspur talisman as Kane looks to add trophies to his resume.

Tottenham Hotspur have now failed to qualify for the Champions league twice in consecutive seasons and are on the verge of not playing any European football next season. For a player of Harry Kane’s caliber to just play the Premier League is not enough by any sense of imagination.

Harry Kane has reportedly let the club chairman Daniel Levy know of his wishes of leaving the club this summer and wants to move to a bigger club where he would have chances to win trophies. The Tottenham star has now given a direct indication of his wishes in an interview given to Gary Neville.

In a snippet of an interview released by Gary Neville the striker said that he wants to play the Champions League and the fact that he had never said anything about retiring at his boyhood club Tottenham.

Harry Kane said: “I don’t want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be the best I can be.

I want to play the Champions League… I’m not desperate to do anything. I want to be playing in the biggest games. I’ve said before, I’d never say that I’d stay at Spurs for the rest of my career. I’d never say that I would leave Spurs”.

Kane – who was speaking earlier this month to Gary Neville’s YouTube show, The Overlap – added: “I’ve still got so much more to give. I can produce better numbers than I’m producing at the moment.

“I’m not afraid to say, ‘I want to be the best’. I want to try and get on the level Ronaldo and Messi got to. That’s my ultimate goal – to be winning trophies season in, season out, scoring 50, 60, 70 goals season in, season out.

In a statement of hope for Spurs fans he also said that he would never say anything about leaving the club, but a transfer looks imminent now.

Manchester City and Chelsea have emerged as potential destinations for the English talisman striker, but the striker will face complications at the club as Daniel Levy reportedly does not want to sell the striker at any cost.

For football fans, all of this looks to generate some drama over the summer transfer window after the EUROs.
