Indian Super League: ATK Mohun Bagan fixture list for 21/22 season

Indian Super League returns for its 8th season and is set to start from 19th November. The Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) announced the fixtures for the first 11 rounds on Monday 13th September of the Hero Indian Super League 21/22 season.

This 21/22 season will again be played in Goa like last season in a secured bio-bubble due to the COVID-19 restrictions. The three stadiums to host the ISL 21/22 season are the GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda and the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco. The league has introduced a late 9:30 kickoff time for Saturday’s double header matches, while the matches on weekdays starting at 7:30 like last season.

After narrowly missing the ISL title last season to Mumbai City FC, ATK Mohun Bagan will kick of their 21/22 Hero Indian Super League campaign against Kerela Blasters in the opening match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.

ATK won the opening game against Kerela Blasters last season with Roy Krishna scoring the winner in the 67th minute. ATK will hope for the same and will surely want to start their new campaign with a win in the opening fixture of the new ISL season.

The first intense derby of the ISL 21/22 season between ATK Mohun Bagan and SC East Bengal will play as early in the second round of the fixtures on 27th November at the Tilak Maidan Stadium. ATK had the bragging rights last season after completing a league double over East Bengal winning 2-0 and 3-1 respectively. ATK will hope for the same result from last season when they face East Bengal in the Kolkata derby but new manager Manolo Diaz will surely want his side to win in what is the most exciting fixture in Indian football history.
