Indian Super League: How could Chennaiyin FC Lineup in the 2021/22 season?

The Indian Super League is again back this season with some exciting action on the pitch as 11 teams battle out for that Golden ISL Trophy of 2021/22 season.
Let us have a look at the probable lineup of Chennaiyin FC for the 2021/22 season of the Indian Super League. Božidar Bandović the new head coach of the Marina Machans will be looking to take Chennaiyin to a better place than it was last season and with the new signings they will be aiming for their third title this campaign.
Chennaiyin FC: Probable Lineup
Goalkeeper- Vishal Kaith
Vishal Kaith emerged through the ranks from the AIFF elite academy and joined Shillong Lajon FC in the beginning of the 2014/15 season. Vishal has played for Pune City in 2016 as a loaned player and gave a commendable performance in the ISL. In 2019/20 he joined Chennaiyin FC to become the first choice keeper for the club and finished as runner in that very season.
Right Back- Reagan Singh
Reagan Singh has drafter to Chennaiyin FC at the beginning of the 2020/21 season before which he spent five seasons playing for NorthEast United FC with whom he reached the Play offs two times but was unable to make it through into the finals.
Centre Back- Slavko Damjanovic
Slavko Damjanovic, the Serbian defender spent almost majority of his career playing for the clubs in his native Serbian League. His professional career took off from FK Spartak Subotica. The defender joined Chennaiyin recently just before the start of the eighth edition of the Indian Super League.
Centre Back- Deepak Devrani
The Indian defender has show an excellent display of his techniques during his stint with Indian Arrows. He has three I-League titles with three different clubs such as the likes of Mohun Bagan, Minerva and Gokulam Kerala. His debut in ISL came in with Pune City in 2014. He is the newly signed player of Chennaiyin FC with whom he aims to reach heights.
Left Back- Narayan Das
Narayan Das plays as a left back and is currently signed by Chennaiyin FC with whom he is yet to make his debut. Narayan Das has played for FC Goa, Pune City, Delhi Dynamos, Odisha FC and SC East Bengal previously in the ISL and has reached a milestone of 100 games in ISL during his stint with East Bengal last season.
Central Midfielder- Anirudh Thapa
Anirudh Thapa has helped Chennaiyin FC to reach two finals one which they ended up winning while they ended up as runners up. Thapa was part of India’s elite football academy AIFF from where he signed with Chennaiyin FC in 2016. Anirudh Thapa has also spent a season with Minerva Punjab in 2017 where he had quite an impressive performance.
Central Midfielder- Ariel Borysiuk
The Polish Midfielder is the youth product of Legia Warsaw with whom in his senior career he won four league titles. He has a total of five Polish league title and one Moldovan league title in his tally. He was signed by the Machans before the start of this season on a one year contract. Borysiuk has also spent some time in the English league with Queens Park Ranger before again moving to Poland.
Attacking Midfielder- Rafael Crivellaro
The number 10 and the current Captain of Chennaiyin FC Rafael Crivellaro was signed by the Machans before the start of the 2019/20 season. Crivellaro showcased an exceptional performance in his debut season which he finished with seven goals and eight assists alongside the runners up medal as they succumbed to ATK Mohun Bagan in the finals. On July of 2021 Crivellaro extended his contract with Chennaiyin FC on a multi year deal.
Right Wing- Mirlan Murzaev
Mirlan Murzaev one of the best and strongest player of Kyrgyzstan is known for his impressive stats for the National team. He has 14 goals in 48 appearances in international matches. His record with Dordoi is most impressive as he achieved three Kyrgyzstan League titles and a AFC President’s Cup. Chennaiyin FC signed Mirlan at the beginning of this season on a one year deal.
Striker- Lukasz Gikiewicz
The Polish striker has played in many countries all around the world and some league titles in his cabinet to prove his success. He was awarded the Jordan Top scorer in 2017/18 season during his stint with Al Faisaly Amman. Lukasz is the newly signed forward of Chennaiyin FC who signed on a one year contract with the Machans.
Left Wing- Lallianzuala Chhangte
Lallianzuala Chhangte has represented NorthEast United, Delhi Dynamos and is presently signed with Chennaiyin FC. His stint with Chennaiyin FC in 2019/20 where they finished second was the most impressive as forward had seven goals in the season, the second highest by an Indian in that season. After a dreadful performance in the last season Chhangte will look forward to redeem Chennaiyin in this season of ISL.
