Mexico Women’s National team is not going to be a part of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. The national team has played in three World Cups so far but failed to qualify for the ninth iteration of the tournament due to a poor winless CONCACAF W championship.

Playing at home, it was expected for the 35th team in the world rankings to secure a ticket to Australia-New Zealand. However, they finished bottom of the group losing all three matches, and crashed out of the tournament. In fact, Mexico was the only team in Group A to not score a single goal in three matches, conceding five in the process.

Grouped with England, Japan, and New Zealand, Mexico lost two and drew one. They also managed to concede seven and score four goals in the championship.
