Leicester secured their first ever FA Cup victory thanks to a thunderous strike from Youri Tielemans from long range and a late VAR call that ruled former Leicester man Ben Chilwell offside in the build up to a late equaliser.
As is very common during title celebrations, players of the victorious side brought out flags of their home nations to wear during the trophy lift. And as the Foxes did their customary lap of honour, Choudhury and Fofana – both Muslim – were seen holding a Palestine flag aloft.
English midfielder Choudhury then draped the flag over his shoulders as he went to pick up his winner medal, before teammates Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana lifted the trophy.
It was an act of solidarity by the pair with Palestinian people who are caught in the middle of the ongoing conflict with Israel. Israel and Palestine have been involved in horrific clashes over the last couple of weeks, with violence breaking out between Israeli police and protestors.
An Israeli air strike reportedly killed 10 people in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, while a Palestinian rocket attack killed a man in Israel.

Both sides have been urged to ease tensions by nations around the world with more than 139 people killed in Gaza since Monday amid of series of Israeli attacks. Nine Israelis have died. The world had caught sight of an escalating violence which is the worst seen between Palestine and Israel since 2014.
Earlier other notable footballers from all over the world had spoken up amidst ongoing feuds between Israel and Palestine and shown acts of solidarity with the people affected, specially in Palestine and also condemned the inhuman act of war and unrest going on.
