‘Man City bound ?’- Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba open to a Premier League move this summer

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is open to a move to another Premier League club is he decides to leave Manchester United in the summer. Pogba who has just four months left on his current contract at Old Trafford can sign a pre-contract as many European clubs are keeping tabs on the French international.

Paul Pogba who joined Manchester United for a then record fee of £89m in 2016 from Juventus. It is fair to say that Pogba has has a mixed spell at United and has often struggled to reach his full potential. The 28 year-old is free to negotiate with any major European club outside of Premier League but the midfielder wants to focus on the remainder of the season and help Manchester United after returning to the team recently after a long term injury.

With no transfer fee as Paul Pogba will be a free agent in the summer there are not many clubs that can afford the midfielder’s £200,000k per week wages. However reports from Telegraph suggest that Manchester City could show some serious interest in acquiring the midfielder’s services. Pogba was offered to Manchester City by agent Mino Raiola back in 2018 when the player had a rift going on with then manager Jose Mourinho. “Two months ago he offered me (Henrikh) Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with us. He was interested in Mkhitaryan and Pogba to play with us. Pogba is an incredible player. A top, top player.” Man City boss Pep Guardiola said in 2018.

PSG are leading the race as the abroad European club to sign the 28 year-old midfielder in the summer. Though Pogba is a French international he does not have a senior appearance in the French league. The last time he played in a French outfit was for Le Havre before leaving for United’s academy in 2009. Giving Pogba’s age this maybe the last blockbuster contract he signs and PSG could certainly profit with a quality player like Paul Pogba in their side.
