Finally, Real Madrid have found a way to break the deadlock against a very hard working Granda. Los Blancos toiled hard for the first 74 minutes of the match, as the whistles rang out at the Bernabeu due to their insipid attacking display for most parts of the first half.
However, Marco Asensio has put an end to that at least for the time being, scoring a typical Asensio goal, to calm the nerves of the Madrid supporters and of their underfire coach Carlo Ancelotti.

After huffing and puffing down the right flank, Marco Asensio finally made his mark on the match in the 74th minute as he decided to strike for goal from outside the box. The ball fell onto the feet of the Spaniard after Kroos had his effort from long range blocked.
The winger let flow a vicious shot from outside the box, and it nestled perfectly into the left bottom corner, giving Granada’s goalkeeper, Maximilliano absolutely no chance to stop the shot. Until that point, the Granada goalkeeper had put on an exceptional display under the sticks to maintain the stalemate between these two sides.
Real Madrid are in pursuit of a much needed three points on the night, to extend their lead at the top of La Liga, after their closest rivals Sevilla dropped points in their recent encounter. A victory would give the Los Blancos a 6-point cushion at the top of the league.
