Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most decorated player in the world of football. It is remarkable to note that the Swedish international is still going strong despite being 40 years old and is at the top of his game. Zlatan moved to AC Milan in January 2020 and is competing with Inter and Napoli for the Serie A title this season.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had some high praise for PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and also comparing the playing style of the Frenchman with the former Inter striker Ronaldo Nazario, who Zlatan admired in early days of his career. Zlatan is the most experienced player when it comes to forward playing and being a striker.
“I like elegant players, as complete as possible. But when you’re soccer or football player, you can see the way they think, the way they move, the way they do it, I like those players that predict things before it happens. I think Mbappe is a reminder of Ronaldo the Fenomeno. He’s very elegant in his game.” Zlatan said.
Zlatan further spoke about another young gun which is Dortmund’s Erling Haaland saying that the striker is someone who could rival Mbappe in terms of goal scoring. Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are definitely the top youngsters who have already showed glimpses of their exceptional football and can reach the top one day. Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola last week gave a hint about Erling’s transfer in the summer transfer window with a number of top European clubs keeping tabs on the 22-year old.
“I mean, you have all the other big players but when we talk about young players, we talk Haaland, he is good because I think he’s obsessed with goals, and he’s not doing more than he needs to do, so you’re only focusing on goals.”
He further added “In Haaland, I see this intelligence, he just wants to score goals and he knows he can score goals and he’s only trying to do that.”

AC Milan and Napoli are up against each other with both teams very much alive in the title race this season. Inter are top of the table with 43 points with an impressive 5-0 win against Salernitana on Friday night. Napoli will be level on points with Milan if they win the game on Sunday. However Stefano Pioli’s men will try to cut Inter’s lead at the top to three points with a win.
