Miami fans save the falling cat from the upper deck using American Flag

The most notable moment in the football game between University of Miami and Appalachian State came in the stands and not in the game when fans somehow managed to catch the falling stray cat which was hanging from the upper deck. The cat somehow managed to get in the Hard Rock Stadium.
The animal then made it to the upper deck and then finds itself hanging from just one paw from the facade of the upper deck. The amazing yet heart stopping moment came when the fans from the lower deck made a temporary net by improvising and as a result of it using the American Flag. They were successful in catching the cat safely and then it was taken away to safety by the security. All the pictures and videos are posted on Twitter.
It was the college football fan Craig Cromer who was able to successfully catch the cat falling from the upper deck. “They were trying to grab it from above and they couldn’t reach it but they were scaring it downward,” said Cromer, who is also a facilities manager at the University of Miami and a season ticket-holder, and was at the game with his wife and they bring the American Flag to every game.

“It hung there for a little while with its two front paws, then one paw, then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s coming soon” Cromer added in what was surely must a nervous moment in successfully catching the cat in the American Flag. The Miami coach, Manny Diaz discovered this bizarre incident after the game was finished in which the home team Hurricanes won the game against Appalachian State by a narrow score line of 25-23. “I don’t know anything about that or what was going on,” Diaz said. “But I’ll tell you, if the cat will help us in our red-zone offense I’m going to see if we can give it a scholarship.” he added.
The cat did not have any apparent injuries after the incident. Kimberly Cromer when asked about the incident he said “Strangest thing that’s ever happened at a game.”
