LeBron James becomes investor in two key football clubs

LeBron James, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, is now a shareholder in Liverpool and AC Milan, the two most exciting football teams in the world. Since 2011, he has owned a two percent investment in Liverpool, and as of today, he has expanded his holdings by also purchasing an AC Milan stake.

LeBron James and well-known rapper Drake are both involved in the deal through Main Street Advisors, a venture capital firm in Santa Monica, California. Other sports powerhouses like the New York Yankees, who are apparently buying a 10% share in AC Milan, have joined Main Street.

Liverpool has attracted enormous attention under Jurgen Klopp, and this is primarily because of the hold Klopp has over them. They are now among the hardest teams to defeat. In the last three years, they have twice advanced to the UEFA Champions League final. In the 2019–20 season, they won the EPL championship.
