Manchester United fan Usain Bolt was once again in the stands to support the team, but to his disappointment Manchester United lacked the ambition of scoring and failed to really get a grip onto the game, while Wolves kept coming at them on all fronts. Luke Shaw and Mason Greenwood were the only two players who seem to be switched on and were likely to be involved if Manchester United were to score. Bruno Fernandes who started on the bench had great impact after coming on as he also hit the crossbar in the last fifteen minutes of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo was given the captain’s armband by Ralf Rangnick in the absent Harry Maguire who is out with an injury, but the forward failed to lead as an example.
