The premier league season came to an end yesterday with Manchester City clinching their second consecutive title, ahead of Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s men have managed to win four premier league titles in five years. Liverpool wasn’t much behind as they ended their campaign just a point behind the Manchester side.

When Ronaldo joined Manchester United this season from Juventus, there was a lot of hype around his return. And Ronaldo certainly lived up to the expectations the supporters had from him. In spite of Manchester United having a pretty average season and the same to secure a Champions League spot, Ronaldo was certainly lethal in front of goal.

Ronaldo has scored a number of important goals this season in all competitions. He finished the season as the second-highest goalscorer in the premier league with 18 goals just behind Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Heung Min Son of Tottenham.

Chelsea finished their premier league season at the third spot. The young English right-back Reece James had a very significant role in Chelsea’s Premier League campaign.

His commendable defending skills and supporting the attacking line certainly impressed many. Another aspect of his game that has been praised is his crossing. The full-back ended his campaign playing 26 league matches scoring five times and assisting nine times.

The South Korean has been in red-hot form this season under Antonio Conte‘s mentorship. Son had contributed majorly to help Tottenham secure a top-four finish which ensured them Champions League football next season.

The 29-year-old ended his season with a tally of 23 goals, making him the league’s joint-top scorer. Son won his first Premier League golden boot this season. All 23 office goals have come from open play and no penalties. 

2. Mohamed Salah

Liverpool almost managed to win the premier league this season. The Egyptian winger has yet again been in his best decision. He was a joint winner of the Golden Boot with 23 goals and he also won the premier league playmaker of the year award leading the assists chart with 13 assists. Salah’s performances have earned him his third golden shoe since joining Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool.

The Belgian maestro keeps impressing with his performances. He won the premier league player of the year award when his side Manchester City won its consecutive premier league.

His season can be termed nothing but the best in terms of the quality he produced on the pitch. He was the highest goalscorer of Manchester City with 15 goals and had eight assists under his belt playing 30 league matches. KDB has been extraordinary this season and certainly is a Ballon d’Or contender.
