Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 4-1 on aggregate to progress to the Copa Del Rey final
Real Madrid‘s Vinicius Junior and Barcelona’s Gavi squared up against each other when the sides met in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey semifinal. The Los Blancos humiliated the Blaugrana 4-0 in front of their own crowd to progress through to the final.
The fiery match saw multiple players lose their cool as 11 yellow cards were shown throughout the tie. In one instance, Gavi was seen staring down Vinicius Junior where he reportedly said the following to him: “You are very bad.” However, Vinicius came back with a sharp reply saying: “It’s so sad, you’re out of the Copa.”
The first leg of the semifinal saw Barcelona taking away a 1-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to an Eder Militao own goal. However, things did not go to plan for the Catalan side in the second leg.
Vinicius Junior opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half stoppage time to level the game. Karim Benzema then began his rampage as he scored a hat-trick in 30 minutes to put the tie to bed as Real Madrid won 4-1 on aggregate.

Thibaut Courtois and Federico Valverde exult after Real Madrid’s win against Barcelona
The Real Madrid dressing room was surrounded by ecstasy after their 4-0 win against Barcelona. The win saw the Los Blancos progress to the Copa Del Rey final where they are set to face Osasuna.
Speaking about the win, Federico Valverde stated: “The important thing was to win it. It’s hugely satisfying because it wasn’t easy to win here. I’d like to thank all the people for their support, those who have come to the game and those who have been there through the bad times. It’s a team. If we stick together, players and fans, we can achieve great things. We have to continue on this path and I’m sure we’ll succeed.”
Thibaut Courtois was elated with his team’s performance, as he stated: “It’s my first Copa del Rey final with Madrid. I’m delighted to get there because it’s been a tough route: Villarreal, Atlético and the semi-finals against Barcelona, but now we’re in the final. We’re thrilled to be playing in another final with this team.”
