According to reports surfaced on Tuesday, Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr. will be awarded a massive contract after his stellar season with Real Madrid. The 22-year-old will have clauses that will give him huge bonuses for winning the Balon d’Or. His release clause is also rumored to be in billions in order to keep any interested party at bay.

The Spanish giants are keen on keeping the youngster at Santiago Bernabeu till the 2028-29 season. For that, the club has decided to set his release clause at $1 billion and a huge bonus if he wins Ballon d’Or during his time with the club. Currently, the youngster is earning a massive $290,000 per week but his latest contract will be significantly higher than that. He will also get a sign-on and loyalty bonus among other things, reports said. However, the other details regarding the contract are yet to be discussed.

Real Madrid thinks it is best to hold on to their big asset and prevent other clubs from knocking on their door. With the departure of Karim Benzema from the club, fans have high hopes for the former Flamengo man, and the club does not want to lose the young talent, especially in his prime.
