Aaron Ramsey curse strikes back as Britain’s longest-serving monarch Queen Elizabeth II dies

Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest-serving monarch, has died at 96. She reigned for 70 years. The royal family – the Queen’s son and heir Prince Charles, grandsons William and Harry and their families – have gathered at her Balmoral retreat in the Scottish highlands, where she spent her last days.

Queen Elizabeth’s death, who famously supported Arsenal may be cursed by famously known by football fans as the ‘Ramsey curse’. Former Juventus and Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has had a memorable career across professional football in Europe. However, the current Rangers player is also associated with a curse, quite prevalent in football.

Aaron Ramsey who now plays for OG Nice in Ligue 1 scored against Monaco which was later overturned for being offside in the build-up. The goal may not have stood but the curse surely worked as Britain’s longest-standing monarch died which has a stern wave all over the world.

While the legitimacy of the curse is fictional, to say the least, it amuses everyone if past events are brought under the light with the occurrence of so many high-profile deaths just after the Wales International scoring. While Aaron Ramsey is in no way close to blamed in every scenario, he would surely be remembered as one of the most cursed footballers ever ( and for his horrific injury by Ryan Shawcross on a cold rainy night at Stoke).
