Following yesterday’s match between West Ham United and Chelsea, the blues sealed a victory of 2-1. David Moyes-the Hammers’ coach was fuming against the referee who ruled out the late equalizer due to a supposed foul play over Mendy. In the post-match, the coach even said, “Absolutely rotten decision from one of our supposedly elite referees”.

The referees have a hard business to conduct on the pitch. Sometimes it gets harder when situations like these happen. The goal was rolled back and it created a lot of fuss among the coach as well as the players, cooking up a moment of tension on the pitch.

The coach had a beef with the reputed referee and didn’t hold back on giving a comment about the matter in the post-match for the unfortunate but had to be accepted incident.

Referee’s decision: not a bias but surely a disadvantage to West Ham United

The referees are people who rule the game literally. They are there to decide what’s right or wrong, what’s worth a warning or a straight sent-off. A referee’s decision must be respected and dealt with diligence and a true spirit of sportsmanship.

West Ham players did find a disadvantage as the leaping game of the blues allowed them to move up in the Premier League table, that’s why the Hammers’ were fuming. The Hammers’ disadvantage was a late one so the chance to redeem themselves was lost at the moment.

Irrespective of the game played, there were always teams that were someway or the other dissatisfied with the referee’s decision, but that’s the game and that’s how things go about in a football match such as the West Ham United’s, each decision could decide the future of the team whether it’s a wonder or plunder.
