“Hakimi to Madrid?” — Internet takes notice as Los Blancos star Vinicius Jr dons Achraf Hakimi jersey while visiting Morocco

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr recently made a trip to the Moroccan city of Marrakech. The Brazilian winger shared pictures of his holiday in the Agafay desert, but what surprised fans was his choice of outfit. The 23-year-old donned a stylish pair of black sunglasses, paired with black shorts and shoes. He sported the Moroccan jersey paired with a big silver chain, as he paid ‘homage’ to local legend and Morocco #2, Achraf Hakimi.

Real Madrid do not play their next game until a week later against Sevilla, as Vinicius blew off some steam in the desert. He also posted pictures of himself sitting on a quad bike (All Terrain Vehicle) as he took in the magnificence of the Agafay desert. Achraf Hakimi, whom he chose to rep during his holiday did not have a memorable performance at AFCON, as a penalty a crucial penalty miss from the right-back was followed by Morocco’s elimination.

Vinicius Jr. on the other hand, is in stellar form for Real, having six involvements in goal in his last 7 games. Achraf Hakimi, following a regrettable campaign at AFCON, is back at Paris Saint-Germain.

That being said, Hakimi’s future in Paris is not set in concrete. There have been contrasting reports surrounding the full-backs future. While one report claims that he is happy at PSG and fully convinced of the PSG project, another says the opposite. It claims that both Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in bringing in the player, with Real the more interested in the two.
