“Accusations are false,” Achraf Hakimi’s lawyer defends PSG star amidst ongoing r*ape investigation

An allegation of sexual harassment was brought against Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco right back, Achraf Hakimi on Monday. The player and his legal advisor have denied any involvement in the matter.
As per reports, a woman has filed for legal action against the 24-year-old claiming that he sexually assaulted her last Saturday. The prosecutor’s office in the Paris suburb of Nanterre is conducting the investigation.
Fanny Colin, the legal counsel to Hakimi, said earlier today, “The accusations are false… and he is at the disposal of justice.” Hakimi himself has made no official comment on the matter.

Why was Achraf Hakimi accused
According to La Parisien, the outlet that broke the news first, Hakimi met the 24-year-old woman through Instagram. The duo have been chatting on the platform for some days but there had been no physical interaction between them before last weekend.
However, last weekend, Achraf Hakimi allegedly called the woman over to his apartment in the suburbs. It is there that the player raped her, the woman claimed. She reported the incident to the local police but did not press charges against the Moroccan international. Hakimi is currently with a hamstring injury he received during PSG’s loss to Marseille.
Achraf Hakimi Personal Life
Hakimi is currently married to Spanish actress Hiba Abouk. The Fatima in El Principe star is 12 years older than the player.
The duo met when Achraf Hakimi was playing for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund back in 2018. They got married in 2020 and have two children, born in 2020 and 2022. According to the report, Abouk, along with her children, was on a vacation to Dubai when the alleged rape took place.
Another PSG Right back fighting rape allegations
Former PSG right-back, Dani Alves is also under investigation by the Spanish authorities on rape allegations. Alves, currently incarcerated in Spain, was arrested in January after a 23-year-old pressed charge against him. According to allegations, the Brazilian assaulted the woman during a new year celebration in Barcelona’s Sutton nightclub on December 30.
Video footage of the player entering the bar washroom together was leaked soon after. Liga MX club, UNAM terminated its contract with the player after the news surfaced.
The Brazilian accepted his misdemeanor later, in a testimony despite denying any involvement in the matter in the beginning. Last week, Dani Alves’ bail plea was denied as the authorities identified him as a ‘flight risk’. The court said, “There is a high risk of fleeing as… the severe punishment he faces in the present case, the strong evidence of wrongdoing and his economic might would make it possible for him… to leave Spain at any time.”
