“My son is innocent,” Achraf Hakimi’s mother comes in defense of son amidst ongoing r*pe investigation

One of PSG’s more established players on the squad, Achraf Hakimi, was accused of rape on 3 March 2023 according to reports. The PSG right-back was accused of assaulting a 24-year-old woman at his residence and is currently under investigation. However, the PSG board has extended its full support to the player and believes the Moroccan international is innocent, and is hopeful of fair conduct in the case.
Another person who believes in Hakimi’s innocence is his mother who firmly believes in her son and condemns what her son is going through. “My heart tells me that my son is innocent and has a good education. He doesn’t deserve what happened to him. I asked him about the case, and he swore to me that he was innocent.”
Hakimi was part of the Morocco squad in the 2022 FIFA World Cup which went on a dream run and reached the semi-finals of the competition where they lost to eventual runners-up France. The news comes at a time when Hakimi is injured and away from the pitch. He is married to Hiba Abouk and has two sons. His wife and their children had gone to the United Arab Emirates for the weekend when the alleged rape happened.
PSG is scheduled to meet Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 and Hakimi will miss the match alongside Neymar due to the rape allegations currently undergoing and Neymar owing to an ankle injury. The Parisians are bound to struggle without two of their key players and owing to the fact that they lost 1-0 in the first leg.

Achraf Hakimi’s wife Hiba Abouk moving forward for divorce amidst rape accusations.
Paris Saint-German star Achraf Hakimi has been accused of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old last weekend. The Moroccan World Cup star has been placed under court surveillance following the filing of preliminary rape charges. He is accused of inviting the woman to his house and sexually assaulting her while his wife Hiba and their children were on vacation.
According to reports in her native Spain, TV star Hiba has been estranged from Achraf Hakimi for several weeks now. Reports claim that she is ‘accelerating’ the process of ending their marriage as a result of the rape allegation.
Although Hiba hasn’t made any public remarks, an Instagram image shows her strolling with her two young sons along a beach in Dubai. Using the hashtags ‘family first’ and ‘I’d die for mine’, she added a caption ‘Adding moments’ to the photo. The photos are enough evidence to testify to the reports and rumors that the two are no longer together and that a divorce is imminent.
