A Snapchat video that allegedly showed Cristiano Ronaldo flirting with a former model has sparked a lawsuit from his Saudi club, Al Nassr. The video, posted by Halina Boland, a 42-year-old Kuwaiti TV presenter, featured a voice that sounded like Ronaldo’s but was later revealed to be fabricated.
Boland allegedly claimed that she had received a phone call from the Portuguese star, who was trying to seduce her. However, Al Nassr accused her of lying and tarnishing the reputation of their player, who has remained silent on the matter. Boland now faces a legal battle over her false claims and could face serious consequences.
Ronaldo is enjoying football in the Arab league with his family but seems to still be in the headlines. From the video posted, it has been understood that Ronaldo was trying to go out to dinner with her. However, this prank may prove to be hefty for the model who didn’t think of the consequences as it has caught the attention of fans.
In the current world of technology, which is growing daily, nobody’s safe from fake voices and images. Nonetheless, if you’re as big of a personality as Ronaldo, you might constantly be targeted by people who want to use your image to their advantage.
