Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, upon the insistence of club captain Cristiano Ronaldo. The Brazilian and Ronaldo shared memorable years playing together at Real Madrid from 2013 to 2018.

The Brazilian midfielder signed for Manchester United in the summer of 2022, for a five-year deal worth £60 million, and it has just been 18 months since he arrived at Old Trafford. Despite enjoying a brilliant debut season for the Red Devils, his form has declined before his hamstring injury. This has raised questions about his future at the club, particularly considering his approaching age of 32. Therefore, his age could be a major factor behind the speculation that United might look to offload him.

Recent reports indicate that Al-Nassr might be interested in signing the Brazilian, upon a request made by Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo. Casemiro’s former Real Madrid teammate has urged the club to acquire his services, to strengthen its midfield for a title challenge.

The 31-year-old could be paired alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana in the Al-Nassr midfield. There is although a potential challenge to his signing, as the Saudi club has already exhausted its non-domestic player quota, and would have to offload a foreign player in the upcoming days to facilitate Casemiro’s transfer.

Casemiro and Ronaldo enjoyed a successful stint playing together at Real Madrid, securing four UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga titles. A reunion will be highly anticipated by football fans, since both the players last played together for Manchester United in the latter half of 2022.
