Sebastian Haller, who was diagnosed with a testicular tumor, has departed Borussia Dortmund’s preseason training camp in Switzerland.
The 28-year-old claimed to feel sick during training on Monday after joining the German team earlier this summer. A tumor was found following a variety of tests. Haller will now spend the following few days in a “specialized medical center” undergoing more testing.
Sebastian Kehl, the sports director at Dortmund, responded to the news by saying on the Borussia Dortmund website: “This news today came as a shock to Sebastien Haller and to all of us. The entire BVB family wishes Sebastien a full recovery as soon as possible and that we can hug him again soon. We will do everything in our power to ensure that he receives the best possible treatment.”
