The Argentine has always been a huge admirer of Roger and has visited places to watch him perform at Wimbledon. His admiration came racing to everyone’s eyes when he said, “All the best in your new stage, we will miss seeing you on the court, making us enjoy.”

The Tennis legend Roger Federer has finally announced his retirement at the age of 41 after the Laver Cup in London, marking the end of one of the greatest ever sporting careers. A 20-time grand slam champion has hung his racket after a milestone of a performance.
Last year in Wimbledon, he reinjured the knee that had kept him out of play for more than a year. Federer has contested 5 events since January 2020 and has undergone three knee surgeries in that period. He cited his late-career injury problems as one of the reasons for his retirement.
For a large period of time, Federer was at the helm of the record of men’s total grand slam titles, outpacing his own idol, Pete Sampras, the early record holder whose count of 14, was once taken to be almost untouchable. Records are meant to be broken, but players such as this great come rarely into sight, it’s time to embrace the journey.
