Recently appointed Tottenham Hotspur boss, Ange Postecoglou, plans to discuss the club’s future prospects with star striker Harry Kane. Despite ongoing transfer rumors and serious interest from Bayern Munich, Postecoglou wants to make sure that he is on the same page with the captain as long as he is in the club.
During his initial press conference, Postecoglou expressed his intention to include Kane in the Tottenham Hotspur first-team squad for the upcoming Premier League season. Ange recognizes him as one of the world’s top strikers. The manager aims to have an open conversation with Kane to understand his ambitions and align them with the club’s objectives.
Kane has one year left on his current contract with the London-based club. The club has offered him the opportunity to negotiate a new contract, but the forward is taking his time to assess his career options.
In a press conference, the Spurs boss talked about his future plans with the London-based club and his views on Harry Kane’s move. He said, “I don’t think it’s my role to sit there and treat people in a manner because of their circumstances. I treat everyone the same. Harry is already an essential figure in the history of this football club. He’s one of the premier players in the world. I want him here and I want to make this club successful. I’m certain he wants that as well. It’s not going to be a conversation where we come out with some understanding. I just want to introduce myself and I want to know what he wants to happen to make this football club successful then we’ll go out there on the training ground and make it happen.”
In response to the striker’s future, Postecoglou said, “I haven’t had any assurances and I wouldn’t expect any. With these types of situations, you’re never dealing with certainties. I can only go with what I know right now. Harry is part of the squad and looking forward to being back and part of the players.”

The upcoming club relocation of Harry Kane
Recent reports suggest discussions about Kane possibly joining Bayern Munich. Bayern has made an improved bid of £68 million plus add-ons to secure Kane’s transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.
Previously, Tottenham rejected Bayern’s initial offer of £60 million plus add-ons for Kane. Club chairman, Daniel Levy, remains firm on his demand of £100 million for the club captain. He is determined to secure a fee of at least £100 million for the 29-year-old.
Postecoglou values success and expects Kane to share the same commitment. He seeks collaboration with Kane to contribute actively towards the team’s achievements. Their meeting will revolve around their shared goal of attaining success.
